Cartridge heaters with integrated temperature sensors of type “J”, type “K”, or Pt100 are used in machines and devices where space is limited and/or it is not possible to install an external temperature sensor. Depending on the required measurement accuracy and the application of the heater, the sensor is mounted inside the cartridge in the following way:

The thermocouple is insulated from the resistance wire, electrical connections, and the metal sheath to prevent interference during highly sensitive control (signal reading). This is the standard thermocouple installation in cartridge heaters.

Termopara usytuowana na styku przy dolnej obudowie metalowej (tzw. „denko”). Gwarantuje najwyższą dokładność i bardzo szybki odczyt temperatury. Stosowany głównie w systemach i formach wtryskowych do tworzyw sztucznych.

The thermocouple is mounted at any point along the length of the cartridge heater. It is used in custom technological solutions. When positioned centrally, it provides an average temperature reading across the heater’s sheath.

Types of thermocouples compliant with the German standard DIN 4374.

Thanks to advanced technology, we are able to produce cartridge heaters with an unusual nominal power distribution. This is particularly useful in situations where the heater needs to have different temperatures across its surface. Possible variants:

Cartridge heaters with uneven power distribution are used in environments where a varied temperature is required along the entire length of the heating element. To achieve the desired effect, this method is applied for lengths of at least 100mm. Available heater combinations include:
– More power in the center of the heater
– More power at both ends

Cartridge heaters with an additional dead zone are used in environments where an extra cold zone is required on the surface of the heating element. This cold zone can be placed at any length of the cartridge, allowing for any combination of configurations.

Upon customer request, we can manufacture dual-power cartridge heaters.
